how to identify unsafe lifting practice

3) Safe working practice for Electro-permanent lifting magnets.
Required by HSE:

The Health and Safety at work act 1974 requires
that you provide whatever information, instruction
and training is needed to ensure the health and
safety of your employees.

As required by Lifting Operations and Lifting
Equipment Regulations 1998 (L.O.L.E.R.)
“All lifting accessories must be inspected
And tested on a regular basis”.

Why is Magnetic Lifter Training important?
Over 200 people are killed each year in accidents at work
and over 1 million people are injured.
Providing health and safety information and training helps you:-

1) ensure your employees are not injured by the work they do

 Magnetic lifter Testing
Training alone isn’t enough, You are required by legislation to have your Lifting Magnets tested and inspected on a regular basis. We offer fast economic in house or on-site test and certification for all types of Magnetic Lifters.
Each certification confirms the actual Magnetic power is sufficient to provide the rated SWL of the magnet (including safety factors) and that the construction of the lifter and its safety measures are Safe for use. You may be required to produce a certificate in the event of an incident.

Magnetic Lifter Testing

As required by LOLER regulations all lifting accessories must be
inspected and tested on a regular basis. Magnetic Systems will
test your lifter and provide you with certification to ensure you are
within guidelines giving you peace of mind in the knowledge your
lifters and personnel are safe and that you meet your legal
requirement. Magnetic Systems policy for the inspection and repair
of lifting magnets is in accordance with the latest LOLER and
British Standards recommendations.

As stated by LOLER - these inspections must be carried out at
intervals of no more than 12 months.
