Radial Pole Design:
MSR chucks provide high power magnetic workholding, ideal for both ring type and conventional work pieces. This is achieved by the radial pole design; it allows a completely even clamping force up to 12-15 kg/cm sq. over the entire component.
Stainless Steel Body: The main body of the chuck is produced in 304 Stainless Steel. This gives excellent wear and durability characteristics even in the most arduous applications.
All Metal Top Plate: The working face of the chuck is most important; it must maintain its accuracy and provide a stable working surface. This is why each of the poles in the MSR range is individually welded to the Stainless body rings. Using this method means the body and top plate of the chuck are essentially one solid piece ensuring the greatest strength and rigidity.
Switching: The actuation of the MSR chuck is manufactured from hardened and tempered rack and pinion system. Simple rotation of the pinion shaft using the key provided engages the gear teeth and moves the magnetic grid inside the chuck to the on position and hence providing magnetic power to your component.
Power: The high power magnetic field is provided by the latest rare earth magnet (Neodymium). All of our magnets are nickel plated and resin encapsulated within the magnetic chuck. This environment means the magnets are completely protected and can not degrade in any way. This ensures maximum power is provided for the complete lifetime of the chuck.
Universal Mounting: All MSR magnetic chucks are manufactured without mounting details. This is because there are many different types and hole patterns required by our customers. For this reason we offer to machine in any mounting details required to suit your machine completely free of charge.
